Çağla Saydağ Karter had always loved art ever since she was a little girl. She would be noticed spending more of her hours drawing and painting than in any other activity. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, she completed her education and graduated not in a designing course, but in the field of business and economics in 1999, followed by her master’s degree in business administration at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States in the year 2003.
Even with her field of studies and career being irrelevant to fine arts, she still managed to pursue her artistic passion and made the decision to attend painting classes in Russia in 2011. A few years later, in 2019, she decided to travel to the U.A.E. and join the abstract painting program on one of the most prominent art schools in Dubai, the Lotus Educational Institute.
When she discovered expressionist painting, she felt like she had finally found her niche. She was immediately drawn to the bold colors and chaotic brushstrokes of the style, and she loved the way it allowed her to express her innermost emotions.

After years of training and study, she received her Professional Certificate in Abstract Painting from Lotus Educational Institute (Dubai) issued and attested by Dubai Government (KHDA) in the year 2020 and also participated in several art exhibitions in Dubai under the supervision of the Lotus Faculty. Right after then, she continued to improve her skills in creating her own flair through online art classes with the same institute until this day, in 2022.
She also got the chance to exhibit in Varna Bulgaria, and in several cities in her home country, like Istanbul and Bodrum.
Improving her skills and mastering her craft continued when she got admitted to one of the most renowned art universities in Turkey, Yuditepe, to pursue a PhD in Plastic Arts and Painting. This was one of her major goals, and with persistence and dedication, she was able to achieve it.
Cagla knows that she’s found her true passion in life, and she’s never been happier. She’s finally found a way to express herself that feels completely natural to her.

She has received critical acclaim for her paintings and is finally receiving the recognition she deserves.
